Obituary for Emma Margaret Kuhn Dimmerling
Emma Margaret Kuhn Dimmerling, age 96, of Caldwell, Ohio, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born May 25, 1915, in Burkhart, daughter of the late Joseph A. and Mary Biedenbach Kuhn. She was a homemaker, and along with her husband, owned and operated a family farm. She was a long time member of the Carlisle community, and she was an organist for St. Michael's Catholic Church and a member of its Catholic Women's Club. Upon moving to Caldwell in her later years, she attended St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell and its CWC.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Francis (Jimmy) Dimmerling; one daughter, Ruth Warner; two sisters, Dorothy Norris and Nellie Burkhart; and two brothers, Herman and Leroy Kuhn.
Surviving are five daughters, Melba (Oliver) Hupp and Jean (Larry) Lowe, both of Caldwell, Jane (Virgil) Thompson of Summerfield, Alice (Richard) Piatt of Graysville, and Marilyn (Tom) Poland of Pleasant City; four sons, Paul (Maureen) Dimmerling of Caldwell, Marvin (Darlene) Dimmerling and Bill Dimmerling, both of Carlisle, and Gary (Susie) Dimmerling of Granville; a son-in-law, Bob Warner of Carlisle; one sister, Matilda Burkhart of New York; one brother, Mark (Evelyn) Kuhn of Hilliard; and a large extended family.
Friends may call Monday, September 12, 2011, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a vigil service will follow at 8PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be observed Tuesday, September 13th at 10AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell with Rev. Fr. Wayne Morris as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery in Carlisle.
