Obituary for Ellen May Stowe
Ellen May Stowe, age 86, of Caldwell, died Thursday evening (2/27/2003)in Columbus, Ohio at the home of her son. She was born May 5, 1916 in Sharon Township, Noble County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clarence Willard 'Wid' & Mabel Patterson Wiley. She was a graduate of the former Forest Grove High School; a homemaker and a member of the Noble County Senior Citizens and the First Presbyterian Church in Caldwell. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband William E. Gregg; her second husband Clyde Stowe; 1 son Charles Gregg who died in 1965; 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Surviving are 2 sons William S. (Joyce) Gregg and Clyde Warren (Helga) Stowe of Columbus; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday (3/2/2003) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, Ohio, where services will be held on Monday (3/3/2003) with Revs. Ken Hyland & William Pickenpaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Halley's Ridge Cemetery near Ava, Ohio. The family requests that memorials be made to First Presbyterian Church in Caldwell, Ohio or to Mt. Carmel Hospice in Columbus, Ohio.
