Ella M. Kirkbride, age 90, of Pataskala, Ohio, formerly of Caldwell, died Friday, November 8, 2013, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. She was was born November 15, 1922, in Noble County, Ohio, daughter of the late Harry Oscar and Mary P. Barnhouse Collins. She was a 1941 graduate of Forest Grove High School, and she was a homemaker. She loved old time country music, and she loved to sing and play guitar. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford D. Kirkbride, whom she married May 31, 1941, and who died October 14, 1991; and her siblings, Beulah Adams, John Collins, George Collins, Oscar Collins, Alberta Phiefer, Ruth Blue, Lois Hill, Avis Riggs, and Betty Kline. Surviving are many nieces, nephews, and cousins, including nieces Diana Hite of Pataskala, with whom she made her home, and Carol Spicer of Caldwell. Friends may call Monday, November 11, 2013, from 11AM-1PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow at 1PM with Ken Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Village View Cemetery in Sarahsville.
