Obituary for Eleanor R. Riski
Eleanor R. Riski, age 94, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at Altercare Summit Acres in Caldwell. She was born February 17, 1926, in Fulda, daughter of the late Albert and Mollie Schott Roehrig. Eleanor was as 1944 graduate of Caldwell High School. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell and its Catholic Women’s Club. She loved gardening, reading, sewing and crocheting.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, the late John F. Riski, who died in 1978; five sisters, Freda Gill, Dorothy Bing, Mary Margaret Craig, Eulaila Valot, and infant sister Leora Roehrig; and four brothers, Terrance, Roy, Bernard, and Edward Roehrig.
Surviving are her daughter, Brenda A. Riski of Caldwell; several nieces, nephews, and cousins, including nieces who were her caregivers, Chris Bates of Sarahsville and Patty Koval of Caldwell.
Friends may call Friday, November 20, 2020, from 11AM-1PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 1PM with Rev. Fr. Wayne Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Guests are required to wear masks and practice social distancing as required by the state of Ohio.
