Obituary for Edna 'Louise' Mitchell
Edna “Louise” Mitchell, age 81, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Sunday, February 17, 2013, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born December 27, 1931, near Middleburg, daughter of the late James Harry and Beulah Bettinger Hesson. She was a member of the last graduating class at Macksburg High School, graduating in 1950. Mrs. Mitchell was employed by Essex Wire in Zanesville, and she retired after 20 years of service as a kitchen assistant at Summit Acres Nursing Home. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Belle Valley. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter V. “Mud” Mitchell, whom she married in 1953, and who died June 5, 2004; and one daughter, Sharon Kay Mitchell, who died in 1997. Surviving are her siblings, Harry M. (Esther) Hesson of Cumberland, Richard D. (Connie) Hesson of Dexter City, Robert L. (Sandra) Hesson of Beverly, and Marilyn Jean Heavner of California; her special friend and caregiver for eight years, Gail Wheeler of Caldwell; a special friend, Patty Tonnous of Caldwell; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday, February 24, 2013, from 5-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Monday, February 25th at 11AM with Pastor Larry Copley officiating. Burial will follow at Lund Cemetery in Macksburg.
