She was born September 22, 1914, in Elk Twp., Noble County, daughter of the late Chris and Emma Ayers Franks. She attended the one room school and Methodist Church at Road Fork. It was there that she gave her heart to Jesus and was baptized for His service. She was the big sister in her family of eight and played this role well. In June of 1934, she married Roy Wentworth. Together they made a Christian home for their children to cherish and gave a heritage that every child should have. They transferred their church membership to Sarahsville United Methodist Church in 1936 and remained dedicated members. Mrs. Wentworth was a Sunday School teacher and a member of its Ladies Bible Class. She retired as an LPN from Guernsey Memorial Hospital following twenty-four and a half years of nursing duty. She was a member of the Auxiliary Wing 4, a member for over 70 years of the Sharon Grange, a member of the Public Employees Retirement System, Chapter #42, the Senior Citizen Organization, and the Noble County Farm Bureau. She was also a volunteer for the Samaritan House in Caldwell.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Wentworth, who died in January, 1976; one son, Melvin Wentworth; one grandson, Perry Wentworth; one sister, Dorothy Shaw; and two brothers, Lawrence Franks and Carlos Franks.

Surviving are one son, Merlin A. (Rachel) Wentworth of Pleasant City; one daughter-in-law, Betty Lou Wentworth of Columbus; four sisters, Ollie Brooks of Canton, Lucy Potts of Canton, Betty Ryan of Chagrin Falls, and Ruby Lovejoy of Canton; three grandchildren, Connie Kuchler of Westerville, Steven (Melanie) Wentworth of Pleasant City, and Matthew (Shelly) Wentworth of Sarahsville; 7 great-grandchildren, Shaun and Scott Kuchler, and Jarrett, Carter, Austin, Baylor, and Brenlee Wentworth.
