Edgel Max Morrison, age 75, of Kipling, Ohio, died Thursday, September 29, 2011, at his home. He was born December 2, 1935, in Sharon, son of the late John and Jewell "Hannah" McCune Morrison. Mr. Morrison was a graduate of Forest Grove High School and a member of Sharon Presbyterian Church. He retired in 1973 from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant following 20 years of service, and he subsequently retired from GTE in Marion as a switchbox installation technician. Edgel was a farmer at heart who enjoyed working with his John Deere tractor.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Mary Marteen Hayes; and two brothers, Harry Claremont Morrison and Basil Wayne Morrison.
Surviving are his wife, Elaine B. Estacion Morrison, whom he married in Hawaii November 9, 1957; two daughters, Debora Jean (Robert) Loveall of Byesville and Denise Ann Morrison of Kipling; two sons, Nathan D. (Leanne) Estacion of Canton and Steven A. (Sharon) Morrison of Idaho; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
