Obituary for Edgel B. Ogle
Edgel B. Ogle, age 74, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Sunday, June 16, 2013, in Caldwell. He was born August 20, 1938, near Keithtown in Noble County, son of the late Dwight and Ethelyn Willey Ogle. He attended Sharon and Forest Grove Schools, and he was a 1956 graduate of Belle Valley High School. He was employed as a grader operator for the Noble County Highway Department for 18 years, and he was also employed by Central Ohio Coal Company for 11 years. He was a member of the Belle Valley United Methodist Church, and he was a former member of the Belle Valley Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Ogle enjoyed square dancing with his late wife, Carol, turkey, deer, and coon hunting, gardening, and traveling. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Carol M. Uhl Ogle, whom he married August 24, 1961, and who died September 29, 2010; and one sister, Janet Kocher. Surviving are one daughter, Karen S. Ogle (Igor Kovacevich) of Los Angeles; one son, David C. Ogle of the home; two sisters, Gloria Jean (Jim) Robinson of Northfield and Joan (Gary) Sabo of Granville; one brother, Edward (Mary Jane) Ogle of Kearney, Missouri; one grandson, Lukas M. Kovacevich; two aunts, Clela DeLancey and Geraldine Willey, both of Caldwell; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved, faithful miniature schnauzer, Gunner. Friends may call Friday, June 21, 2013, from2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Saturday, June 22nd at 11AM with Pastor Sandra Payette officiating.
