Obituary for E. Geneva Schott
E. Geneva Schott, age 82, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Saturday, September 13, 2008, at her home. She was born January 18, 1926, near East Union, Ohio, daughter of the late Lewis and Emma Warner Archer. Mrs. Schott handled payroll for several years at Schott Lumber Company in Caldwell, and she formerly owned and operated The Gallery Flower Shop in Caldwell as well as being a homemaker. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church at Caldwell, where she taught CCD classes for ten years and she was a member of its Catholic Women's Club. She was also a member of the Caldwell Garden Club. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul A. Schott, whom she married September 5, 1942, and who died May 17, 2003; two sisters, Mabel Oliver and Helen Bradison; and three brothers, George, Harold, and James Everett Archer. Surviving are three sons, Richard (Connie) Schott of Caldwell, Ronald (Carla) Schott of Zanesville, and Michael (Karen) Schott of Caldwell; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call Tuesday, September 16, 2008, from 2-4 and 7-9PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a vigil service will be observed at 8:30PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held Wednesday, September 17th at 10AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell with Rev. Fr. Wayne Morris as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Caldwell.
