Obituary for Dorothy Lee Porter
Dorothy Lee Porter, age 81, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Sunday, April 12, 2015, at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark. She was born December 6, 1933, near Caldwell, daughter of the late Floyd M. and Geneva A. Bird Porter. She was a 1952 graduate of Caldwell High School, and she retired in 1998 as a quality control inspector for the Mahle Corporation Plant in Caldwell. She was a member of the United Steel Workers of America, and she enjoyed reading, shopping, and watching television.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Russell N. Porter and Larry L. Porter; and one sister, Jane A. Border.
Surviving are her son, David L. (Juliana) Porter of Newark; one sister, Nellie J. Stewart of Caldwell; and several nieces, nephews and cousins, including her cousin Karen Hively of Pleasant City.
Friends may call Thursday, April 16, 2015, from 1-3PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 3PM with Rev. William J. Rauch officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery in Caldwell.
