Obituary for Dorothy L. Hill
Dorothy L. Hill, age 92, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Friday, June 16, 2006, at SE Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge, Ohio. She was born August 12, 1913, in Buffalo, Guernsey County, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles and Bertha Holcomb Hartley. She was retired as a secretary for the Noble County Soil and Water Conservation Service. She was a former member and past secretary of Amazon Chapter #30, Order of the Eastern Star, Caldwell. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James J. 'Jimmy' Hill, who died in 1973; one daughter, Sally L. Robinson; three sisters, Ruth Young, Pauline Hartley, and Laura Hartley; and three brothers, Gilbert Hartley, Edwin Hartley, and Ira Hartley. Surviving are a daughter, Joey L. McCormick of Caldwell; one son, James H. Hill of Cuyahoga Falls; 6 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Friends may call Sunday, June 18, 2006, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where the service will be Monday, June 19, 2006, at 1PM. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery, Caldwell.
