Obituary for Dorothy A. Hesson
Dorothy A. Hesson, age 89, of Elba, Ohio, died Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Altercare Summit Acres in Caldwell, She was born July 13, 1932, in Noble County, daughter of the late Raymond and Cora Lori Lorey. Dorothy was a beloved mother and homemaker. She attended New Harmony Baptist Church and she loved to read. She was devoted to her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Hesson, who died October 23, 1991; one son, Delmar Ray Hesson, who died September 27, 2021; a great-grandson, Jeremiah Johnson; a son-in-law, Gary Fogle; two sisters, Lucille Jones and Charlene Thompson; and three brothers, Clarence, John, and Charles Lorey.
Surviving are her children, Denver (Doreen) Hesson of Elba, Connie (Bill) Johnson of Lowell, Marsha (Ronald) Sanford of Macksburg, and Jeff Hesson of Dexter City; two brothers, Richard Lorey of North Carolina and Howard (Darlene) Lorey of Caldwell; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Sunday, November 28, 2021, from 11AM-2PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 2PM with Ken Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Twp. Cemetery.
