Obituary for Donna Lee Davis Beckett
Donna Lee Davis Beckett, age 91, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at The Arbors at Rock Mill in Carroll, Ohio. She was born September 19, 1924, in Muskingum County, daughter of the late Dewey and Mary Davison Wells. She was a graduate of New Concord High School, and she was employed by the former Gateway IGA in Caldwell in the meat department. Donna was a long time member of the Caldwell Free Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, William Walter Davis, who died in 1955; her second husband, Clyde Davis, in 1971; her third husband, George Otis Beckett, who died January 4, 2006; one sister, Aroma Jean Wells; two brothers, Glen Wells and Chalmer Wells; and one great-grandson, Davis Michael Kern.
Surviving are her children, David A. (Karen) Davis of Lancaster, Janet L. Bailey of Georgia, and Jayne J. (Karl) Crum of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; one sister, Joy (Richard) Flood of Caldwell; one brother, Jim (Nancy) Wells of Caldwell; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Saturday, July 23, 2016, from 12PM-1:30PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 1:30PM with Pastor Jim Garrett officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery in Caldwell. Memorial contributions may be made to the Noble County Historical Society, 419 West Street, Caldwell, Ohio, 43724.
