Obituary for Donna Jean Fogle
Donna Jean Parrish Fogle, age 89, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville. She was born August 15, 1924, in Caldwell, daughter of the late Lee and Nellie Drake Parrish. She was a 1942 graduate of Caldwell High School, and she retired in 1991 from Cardex after 27 years of service. She was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Caldwell, and she enjoyed gardening, reading, baking pies, and shopping with Aunt Mae and Joyce.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Dale Fogle, whom she married in 1942, and who died March 15, 2000; her siblings, her twin brother, Don Parrish, Nellie Mae Parrish Beckett, Eleanor Parrish Sayre, and Earl, Ivan, and Charles Parrish; one nephew, Robert Sayre; and her angel, her great-granddaughter, Ava Cole Nichols.
She is survived by her children, Beverly (Darius) Scott Chapman of Stockport, Joyce Schott of Knoxville, Tennessee, Ed (Cindy) Fogle of Marietta, Pam (Bill) Davis of McConnelsville, and Nannette (Mark) Sampson of Beverly; two nieces, Delores Beckett of Caldwell and Betty Sayre Merry of Bidwell; three sisters-in-law, Thelma Fogle and Ruth Fogle, both of Caldwell, and Helen Fogle of Salesville; 12 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 24 step-great-grandchildren; and 19 step-great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Thursday, March 6, 2014, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Friday, March 7th at 11AM. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery in Caldwell.
