Obituary for Donna J. Sayre
Donna J. Sayre, age 76, of Caldwell, died Wednesday, January 25, 2006, at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell. She was born June 10, 1929, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Harold and Mae Richardson McDonald. She was a 1947 graduate of Caldwell High School, and was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Caldwell, and the Caldwell Band and Athletic Boosters. Mrs. Sayre enjoyed travelling, having visited all 50 states as well as Mexico and Nova Scotia. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Joseph O'Neal Sayre; a grandson, Randy L. Sayre; and an infant brother, Charles McDonald. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Robert L. Sayre, Sr., whom she married June 26, 1947; four sons, Robert L. 'Skeet' (Carolyn) Sayre, Jr. of Caldwell, Michael A. (Kathy) Sayre of Dexter City; Steven C. Sayre of Dexter City, and James R. (Nancy) Sayre of Caldwell; three daughters, Mrs. Kenny (Carla J.) Clinger and Mrs. Tim (Catherine J.) Bond, both of Caldwell, and Mrs. Jeff (Donna E.) Keith of Cumberland; 15 grandchildren, Robert L. 'Scoot' (Amber) Sayre, Mrs. Keith (Jodi L.) Dunlap; Michael A. (Melinda) Sayre; William O. (Kathy) Sayre, Benjamin O. Bond, Kaci A. Bond, Treavor L. Bond, Joey W. Sayre. Danielle E. Sayre, Heather R. Sayre, Cody J. Sayre, Dylan T. Sayre, Jami L. Keith, Samantha J. Keith, and Traci J. Keith; 5 step-grandchildren, Amber and Steven Pfalzgraf and Daniel Caldwell, Thomas Caldwell II, and Keri Caldwell; 5 great-grandchildren, Marshall A. and Madison E. Sayre, Michael A. Rohrbaugh, and Blane A. and Kadin C. Dunlap; one aunt, Ann Foehrenback of Minerva; and three cousins, Fred 'Bud' McDonald, and Pete and Robert Smith. Friends may call Friday, January 27, 2006, from 3-5 and 7-9PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where the service will be Saturday, January 28 at 12PM with Pastor Bill Pickenpaugh officiating.
