Obituary for Donna J. Bates
Donna J. Bates, age 75, of Summerfield, Ohio, died Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Summit Court Apartments in Caldwell. She was born November 4, 1934, in Noble County, daughter of the late Roy and Edna Ritterbeck. She was a homemaker and a mother who enjoyed caring for her family and home.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Roger and Buddy Joe Ritterbeck; and one sister, Judy Barnett.
Surviving are her husband, Byron L. Bates, whom she married in December of 1957; one daughter, Lynn Warner and one son, Jeff I. (Melanie) Bates, both of Summerfield; three sisters, Emma Jean Brown of Zanesville, Elaine Smithberger of Summerfield and Eileen Reed of Byesville; five grandchildren, Brandon Bates, Tiffany (Danny) Hreha, Keri Warner, Kristi Warner and Derrick Warner; one great-grandson, Mason Arnold; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Thursday, May 27, 2010, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Friday, May 28, 2010 at 11AM with Evangelist Frank Love officiating. Burial will follow at Village View Cemetery in Sarahsville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
