Obituary for Donna Deanne Barnett
Donna Deanne Barnett, age 73, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at her home. She was born June 2, 1939, in Frazeysburg, Ohio, daughter of the late Gerald Moore and Norma Vaughn Moore Reiter. She was a 1957 graduate of Dexter City High School, and she was employed by Weatherseal, Fuqua Mobile Homes, Gillespies Drugs, and First National Bank. She also owned and operated The Hobby Shop from her home. She was Methodist by faith. Donna enjoyed reading and she was and she loved the Cincinnati Reds. She attended almost every sporting event that her grandchildren participated in, and she loved supporting the youth in the community. She loved spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rondus “Gay” Barnett, whome she married September 7, 1957, and who died May 5, 2004; and one daughter, Vanessa G. Van Fossen, who died May 2, 2005. Surviving are one son, Jeffrey L. (Penny) Barnett of Caldwell; one granddaughter, Heidi (Wade) Chapman of Wadsworth; two grandsons, Beau (Alicia) Van Fossen and Josh Barnett, both of Caldwell; six great-grandchildren, Kameron and Maddox Chapman, and Skyler, Jaron, and Jarrett Van Fossen; one step-grandson, Kurt Van Fossen; one step-great-grandson, Dayton Van Fossen; three sisters, Carolyn (Sam) Besket of Senecaville, Mary (Paul) Barlow of Dexter City, and Jeanne Moran of Newark; two half-brothers, Robert (Pam) Reiter and Mark Reiter, both of Caldwell; and one son-in-law, Roger Van Fossen of Jerusalem; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday, November 29, 2012, from 4-7PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Friday, November 30th at 11AM with Pastor Jim Fernihugh and Ken Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Dudley Cemetery.
