Donald E. “Donnie” Spicer, Jr., age 66, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Saturday, January 21, 2023, at OhioHealth Southeastern Medical Center in Cambridge. He was born January 7, 1957, in Caldwell, son of Carol S. Collins Spicer and the late Donald E. Spicer, Sr. Donnie was a 1975 graduate of Caldwell High School and Mid-East Career Center in Buffalo, where he studied small engine repair. He was employed by International Converter in Caldwell for over 25 years and retired from Patten’s Appliance, where he worked in delivery and setup. He also performed wedding photography. Donnie was a member of the Sharon Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed building and rebuilding computers, playing computer games and driving his tractor. He was devoted to his family and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Clark Donohue.
Surviving are his children, Dennis E. Spicer and Dawn Ann (Brian) Triplett, all of Caldwell; four grandsons, D. J. Carver, Brantley Triplett, Alex Triplett, and Cooper Triplett; the mother of his children, Donna Jean Spicer of Caldwell; his siblings, Teresa E. (Jeff) Duvall of Salesville and Connie S. Donohue of Blue Rock; one aunt, Ethel Jean Abrams of Caldwell; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Tuesday, January 24, 2023, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Wednesday, January 25th at 1PM with Ken Perkins officiating.
