Obituary for Don L. Palmer
Don L. Palmer, age 84, of Lancaster, Ohio, formerly of Noble County, died Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at his home. He was born May 30,1932, in Belle Valley, son of the late John and Mona Moore Palmer. He was a graduate of Belle Valley High School, and he was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Palmer retired as a heavy equipment operator for King Quarries in Cumberland. He attended the Caldwell Church of the Nazarene and the Logan Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Trena Jane Palmer.
Surviving are his wife, Phyllis C. Wells Palmer, whom he married October 10, 1955; two daughters, Pamela (Tony) Rogers of Circleville and Trendle (Jim) Agsten of Lancaster; one son, Derek (Tina) Palmer of Logan; two sisters, Vera (John) Harmer of Columbus and Joan Barnett of Utah; two brothers, Danny (Margie) Palmer and Randy (Jan) Palmer, both of Caldwell; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Thursday, June 2, 2016, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral will be observed Friday, June 3rd at 11AM with Pastor John Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Hiramsburg Cemetery.
