Obituary for Diana A. Lachat
Diana A. Lachat, age 66, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Monday, October 12, 2015, at her home. She was born August 8, 1949, in Alum Creek, West Virginia, daughter of the late Hickles C. and Lola Dial Hill Priestley. She was a homemaker, and she was also employed as a bank teller for a period of time. She attended the Caldwell Church of the Nazarene, and she enjoyed crocheting, making crafts, and reading books, especially her Bible.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Arnold Lachat, whom she married June 5, 1965, and who died January 16, 2013; one grandson, George Gatewood; and several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her children, Lynn L. (Norman) Haney of Newark and Leon A. Lachat, II, of Caldwell; her brothers and sisters, Kay Farrell, Lyda Curry, Ellen Boring, Tippi McCallister, Paul Priestley, Dwight Priestley, and Andy Priestley; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be observed Saturday, October 17, 2015, at 1PM at the Caldwell Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor John Powell officiating. Family and friends are invited to share in a fellowship meal following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Caldwell Church of the Nazarene, 6 Cumberland Street, Caldwell, Ohio, 43724.
