Obituary for Delbert F. Crum
Delbert F. Crum, age 93, of Fulda, Ohio, died Friday, January 16, 2009, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 5, 1915, son of the late Lawrence and Armelia Dimmerling Crum. He lived all of his life in Enoch Twp. Noble County, and he attended the former Fulda School. He served in the United States Army, and he was a farmer and truck driver who hauled for many contractors. He also drove the Enoch Twp. grader for several years. Mr. Crum was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulda. He enjoyed NASCAR, especially watching Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and he enjoyed watching baseball on TV. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Raphael and Herman Crum; two sisters, Pauline and Wilna Crum; and one sister-in-law, Louella Crum. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Helen E. Marshall Crum; four children, Mark (Sherrie) Crum of Springdale, Arkansas, and Rebecca Hill, Barbara (Ronald) Crum, and Brenda Michel, all of Caldwell; three grandsons, Travis (Angela) Crum of Olmstead Twp., Jeremy Hill of Marietta, and Derek Crum of Caldwell; one granddaughter, Kelly Jo Michel of Pataskala; one great-granddaughter, Taylor Renee of Marietta; one great-grandson, Landon Travis of Olmstead Twp.; two step-granddaughters, Typhanie Franke (Gavin) of Cave City, Arkansas and Kandi Hastings of Coolidge, Arizona; two step-great-granddaughters, Allison and Abrianna of Arkansas; two brothers, Bernard (Jayne) Crum of Louisville and Paul (Clara) Crum of Massillon; one sister-in-law, Betty Crum of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday, January 19, 2009, from 2-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be observed Tuesday at 10:30AM at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulda with Rev. Fr. Thomas Hamm as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary?s Parish Cemetery. In keeping with Mr. Crum?s wishes, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary?s Cemetery Fund, c/o Brenda K. Michel, P.O.
