Obituary for David Roger Harriman
David Roger Harriman, age 67, of Nashport, Ohio, formerly of Caldwell, died Sunday, November 22, 2015, at Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care in Zanesville. He was born January 25, 1948, in Middleburg, son of the late Robert and Laura Morrison Harriman. He was formerly employed by Pure Water Company, Pinnacle Drilling, and Swain’s Excavating, and he retired as a bus driver and custodian for Caldwell Exempted Village Schools. He was a United States Navy veteran, having served in Vietnam, and he was a member of the Old Bates Hill Church of Christ. David enjoyed reading his Bible, fishing, and watching football, wrestling, and westerns.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Vera Jean Foreman Harriman, who he married November 2, 1974, and who died November 27, 2003; his second wife, Juanita Conley Harriman, who died January 26, 2015; and two brothers, Bob and John Harriman.
Surviving are his children, David R. Harriman, Jr. of St. Clairsville, Doug R. Harriman of Sharonville, and Peggy S. Harriman of Byesville; one sister, Betty Lynn of Zanesville; one brother, Jewett William (Kathy) Harriman of Nashport; three grandchildren, Michael D. Abbott, Dylan R. Johnson, and Tommy W. Johnson, all of Byesville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Tuesday, November 24, 2015, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell. A veteran’s graveside service will be observed Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at 1PM at Crum Ridge Cemetery with Vernon Crum officiating. An online guestbook may be signed at www.mcvay-perkins.com
