Obituary for David Marquis
David Marquis, age 68, of Pickerington, Ohio, died Monday, August 22, 2011, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born October 10, 1942, in Canton, son of the late James Reed and Lucille Cain Marquis. He was a 1960 graduate of Caldwell High School, where he was active in FFA. He retired in 2001 from Western Electric-Lucent Technologies in Columbus following 41 years of service. He was a member of the Amazing Grace Christian Church in Grove City and a member of the Good Guys Auto Club. Mr. Marquis was also a former Boy Scout volunteer and a baseball manager for the Eastland Athletic Association.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia L. Bigley Marquis, whom he married October 27, 1961; one daughter, Stacia L. Howard of Pickerington; one son, Brad D. Marquis of Pickerington; one sister, Barbara Hannahs of Zanesville; one grandson, Tyler D. Howard; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Thursday, August 25, 2011, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Friday, August 26th at 11AM with Dr. T. Ron Sams and Pastor Jim Garrett officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Sharon Cemetery Assn., 15023 McConnellsville Road, Caldwell, Ohio, 43724, or to the Amazing Grace Christian Church, 255 Quail Creek Blvd., Grove City, Ohio, 43123.
