Obituary for David Allen Wolford
David Allen Wolford, age 78, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Sunday, February 24, 2013, at his home. He was born March 16, 1934, in Columbus, son of the late Roland and Beatrice Turner Wolford. He was a United States Marine veteran, having served in Korea, and he was employed as a plant manager for Russell Standard Corporation in Mercer, Pennsylvania. Mr. Wolford was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Caldwell. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Anna and Betty; and three brothers, Donald, Steve, and Richard. Surviving are his wife, Anna Mae Snodgrass Wolford, whom he married in June, 1955; two sons, David D. (Lucy) Wolford of Lockport, New York, and Gary D. (Pamela) Wolford of Stafford, Virginia; one brother, Dr. Norman Wolford of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; two grandsons, David B. Wolford and Nicholas C. Wolford; one great-grandson, Micah Wolford; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Friends may call Tuesday, February 26, 2013, from 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Wednesday, February 27th at 1PM with Evangelist Craig Matheney officiating. Inurnment at Olive Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made the Main Street Church of Christ, 631 Main Street, Caldwell, Ohio, 43724.
