Dale W. Davis, age 89, of Pleasant City, Ohio, died Friday, December 23, 2022, at Altercare of Cambridge. He was born April 2, 1933, in Senecaville, son of the late Cecil Craig and Rachel Corwin Davis. Dale was a graduate of Pleasant City High School. Early in life, he worked in construction and helped to build Interstate 77. He retired as a truck driver. He was a member of Point Pleasant Lodge #360 in Pleasant City.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Anne Rochus Davis; one daughter, Charlene C. Jennings; one great-granddaughter, Reagan Jennings; one sister, Lila Davis; one brother, Dwight Davis; and a half-brother, Raymond Roe.
Surviving are his wife, Judith E. Weaver Sampson, whom he married July 4, 2001; his children, Diana L. (Bob) Beaty of Caldwell, Dale Robert (Karen) Davis of Pleasant City, and Dennis J. (Judy) Davis of Macksburg; his step-children, Tina Campbell of Kimbolton, Cheryl McGuire of Arizona, and Frank Sampson, Ronald Sampson, and Lyle Sampson, all of Cambridge; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 8 step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lelona (Donald) Heddleson of Junction City, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews.
