Obituary for Dale E. Warner
Dale E. Warner, age 67, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Thursday, February 4, 2021, at his home. He was born July 15, 1953, in Canton, son of the late Paul Gilbert and June Rosa Smithberger Warner. Dale was a 1971 graduate of Caldwell High School. He was employed as a driller for Armstrong Drilling for 17 years, and then worked for Tim Schott building homes. He also worked as a maintenance supervisor at Food Center for 19 years. He was currently employed by Farmers and Merchants Bank as a maintenance supervisor. He was Catholic by faith, and he enjoyed working and splitting wood.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, David Michael Warner; his step-father, Frank J. Jordan; and his step-son, Zebedee Gurewicz.
Surviving are two sons, Dillon Kendall Warner and Dalton Lane Warner, both of Caldwell; a step-daughter, Aubrey Lynn Matyas of Bowling Green; his companion of several years, Janet K. Crock; and several step-grandchildren.
Friends may call Monday, February 8, 2021, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Tuesday, February 9th at 11AM with Rev. Fr. Wayne Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Guests are required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing at all gatherings as required by the state of Ohio.
