D. Marie Pangle, age 88, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Sunday, January 7, 2024, at her home. She was born June 3, 1935, in Noble County, daughter of the late Virgil and Edna Wheeler Wiley. Marie attended Caldwell High School, and over the years was employed by Essex Wire in Zanesville, Hamilton Beach in Byesville, and Roberts Duds and Suds Laundromat in Caldwell. She was Presbyterian by faith. Marie enjoyed taking car rides and loved watching soap operas on TV. She was devoted to her family, and was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Franklin “Bill” Pangle, Jr., whom she married January 10, 1953, and who died December 4, 1994; and two daughters, Denise R. Nichols and Cathy L. Green.
Surviving are her children, Tina M. (Brent) Smith of Apple Valley, California, and Earl F. Pangle, III, Randy L. Pangle, and M. David “Skin” (Rhonda) Pangle, all of Caldwell; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Doris (Howard) Cunningham of Caldwell and Geneva Boyle of Roscommon, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday, January 12, 2024, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Saturday, January 13th at 11AM with Ken Perkins officiating.
