Obituary for Cynthia Anne Merry Law
The Lord Jesus drew Cynthia Anne Merry Law, 89, into His arms on April 20, 2022, surrounded by her loving husband of seventy years, Myron, and her children. She loved caring for her children, cooking and baking for the family, tending her vegetable and flower gardens, and caring for the many birds that visited her feeders. As a professional organist, she served many years at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell and at Saints Peter and Paul in Lore City, where she was a parishioner. She was also an excellent pianist whose improvisations and renditions of dance band songs amazed and delighted her family.
She was the most loving wife to Myron, who survives her, and the most wonderful mother of seven children, six of whom survive her: Jacquie (Tom) Adamik of Senecaville, Jeanie (Jon) Bennett of Cambridge, Catherine Ingram of Caldwell, David (Karen) Law of Caldwell, Mary Thomas of Albany, and John Law of Senecaville; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Mildred Merry; daughter, Lorainne Hesson, a grandson, Joel Law, a great-granddaughter, Katrina Feldner; sisters, Dorothy and Ruth; and brothers James, Jesse, Richard, and Dale.
Friends may call Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 10AM-12PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 12PM with Rev. Fr. Nicholas Ginnetti officiating. The funeral service will be livestreamed at 12PM on the McVay-Perkins Funeral Home Facebook page for those unable to attend. A memorial mass will be celebrated at a later date. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Caldwell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Guernsey at www.hospiceofguernsey.com, or to Christ our Light Parish, 701 Gomber Ave., Cambridge, Ohio, 43725, to benefit St. Benedict School.
