Clifford Dean Cobb, age 78, of Salesville, Ohio, died Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. He was born November 28, 1937, in Coal Run, son of the late Budd and Clara Mae Gates Cobb. He was employed by Big Lots in Cambridge in its maintenance department, and as a truck driver for Goodwill in Columbus. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, doing mechanical work, and he loved old time country music.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one daughter, Lucretia “Angel” McMasters; four brothers, Earl, Virgil, Ralph, and Ivan Cobb; his former wife, Margaret Cobb; and his beloved Brittany spaniel, Brittney.
Surviving are his wife, Sue Ann Chonoski Cobb, whom he married March 22, 1979; his children, Dean (Pam) Cobb of Sydney, Arlene (Richard) Reed, Darlene (Kevin) Harris, and Linda Ewing, all of Columbus, Roy (Arin) McMasters of Summerfield, John (Carol) McMasters of Cambridge, and Clarissa McMasters of Senecaville; one brother, Walter (Shirley) Cobb of Belle Valley; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his three beloved dogs, Bissie, Marley, and Duke.
Friends may call Saturday, January 2, 2016, from 2-5PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a celebration of life service will follow visitation at 5PM led by Roy McMasters.
