Obituary for Cleo M. Feldner
Cleo M. Feldner, age 95, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Sunday, January 22, 2017, at her home. She was born May 2, 1921, in Noble County, daughter of the late John and Theresa Ritterbeck Thompson. She was a 1940 graduate of Dexter City High School, and she was a beloved mother and homemaker. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell and its Catholic Women’s Club. Mrs. Feldner enjoyed quilting, baking, canning, and vegetable gardening.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Chester “Boob” Feldner, whom she married September 10, 1940; one daughter, Emalene Scheich; four sons, Gail Feldner, Lloyd Feldner, Jeff Feldner, and infant son Gene Francis Feldner; one daughter-in-law, Jackie Feldner; and her siblings, Anna Miracle, Clarence, Francis, and Harry Thompson, and Lucy Reed.
Surviving are two sons, Norman Feldner and LaVerne (Belinda) Feldner, both of Caldwell; one son-in-law, Ken Scheich of Caldwell; two daughters-in-law, Donna J. Feldner of Belle Valley and Sheila Feldner of Cambridge; her grandchildren, Karl Scheich of Caldwell, Cleo (Andrew) Stanberry of Cambridge, Penny (Nick) Schell of Caldwell, Lisa (Randall) Clark of Caldwell, Thomas (Shar) Feldner of Wheeling, West Virginia, Sandy (Larry) Leonard of Belle Valley, Tammy (Lloyd) Farnesworth of Summerfield, Margaret (Joe) King of Sarahsville, Theresa Feldner of Cambridge, Lloyd Feldner of Cambridge, Adam Feldner, Gracie Feldner, and Luke Feldner of Cambridge, Tabitha (Drexel) West of Caldwell, Michael (Brandy) Feldner of Mentor, Christina (Carl) Hallowell of Parkersburg, West Virginia, Patricia (Carson) Duffey of Pleasant City, Amber Feldner of Caldwell, Holly (Ray) Brock of Columbus, Jessica (Joe) Wheeler of Kimbolton, Kalyn (David) Nau of Lexington, South Carolina, and Anna (JC) Slevin of Sarahsville; 41 great-grandchildren; 38 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends, including her special “Transport Team,” Eileen Miller, Pauleen Robey, and Gloria Moore, who made it possible for Cleo to attend weekday Mass.
Friends may call Tuesday, January 24, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a rosary service will conclude visitation at 8PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be observed Wednesday, January 25th at 10AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Caldwell with Rev. Fr. Wayne Morris as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Caldwell.
