Obituary for Christopher J. Farley
Christopher J. Farley, age 50, of Caldwell, died Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at his home. He was born June 20, 1956, in Canton, Ohio, son of Carl E. and Reba L. Landaker Farley of Sarahsville. He was a 1974 graduate of Caldwell High School, where he was the high school basketball team manager. He studied surveying at Hocking Technical College at Nelsonville, and he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Germany. Mr. Farley was employed by Federal Mogul Champion Division in Cambridge as a machine set-up technician. He was a member of the United Auto Workers and the Sarahsville United Methodist Church. Mr. Farley enjoyed four wheeling, fishing, woodworking and furniture building, camping, and NASCAR, of which he was a Tony Stewart fan. Surviving are his wife, Dee A. Ross Farley, whom he married in 1982; one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Tasha Ann) Nicola of Caldwell; three brothers, Ed (Judy) Farley of Senecaville, Ryan (Janet) Farley of Belle Valley, and Brian (Shawn) Farley of Bloomfield; one sister, Mrs. Gary (Chawn) Stiers of Cumberland; one grandson, Hunter Sanford; three step-grandchildren, Cordell, Jeremiah, and Noah Nicola; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday, July 28, 2006, from 9AM to 11AM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where the service will be Friday at 11AM with Pastor Walter Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Dudley Cemetery, with military graveside services conducted by the Noble County Veterans Service Organizations.
