Obituary for Charles Robert Copus, Sr.
Charles Robert Copus, age 58, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, died Friday, March 2, 2007, at his home. He was born April 25, 1948, in Ashland, Ohio, son of the late Charles Jacob Henry and Margaret May Williams Copus. He was employed as an engineer and designer with NCR in Atlanta. He was a member of the Cambridge Eagles and the Cambridge Moose. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Sharon Sheets. Surviving are three daughters, Bobbie (Larry) Mason of Salesville, Little Doe 'Doddie' (Doug) Fair of Caldwell, and Laura (Darrell) Farnese of Caldwell; one son, Charles R. (Linda) Copus, Jr. of Caldwell; one brother, Paul Copus and one sister, Dorothy Pridemore, both of Tennessee; ten grandchildren: Benita Gallagher, Bo Mason, Monica, Zackery, and Brandy Griffin, Stephanie & Darren Farnese, Brett and Kody Fair, and Charles Copus, III; four step-grandchildren: Tichina Parrish, Joseph Church, Heather Hill and Justin Robey; his life companion, Elaine Stennett; her mother, Ann Kovalchik; her daughter, Amy McDowell; and her grandson, Tyler Boggess. No visitation will be observed. A memorial service will be held Monday, March 12, 2007, at 11AM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, with Ken Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Guernsey Memory Gardens in Cambridge, Ohio.
