Obituary for Charles R. (Chuck) West
Charles R. (Chuck) West, age 68, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Monday morning (9/16/2002) at his residence, following a long illness. He was born 1/2/1934 in Buffalo Township, Noble County, Ohio, a son of the late Vernon A. & B. Blanche Cale West. He was a graduate of the former Sarahsville High School in Sarahsville, Ohio & was a retired Agent for Western & Southern Life Insurance Company. He was elected Noble County Commisssioner in 1990 and was currently serving in his 3rd term. He was a member of Stop Nine Church of Christ in Byesville, Ohio. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by an infant sister and 1 brother Miley C. West. Surviving are his wife Annabelle Clark West whom he married 5/26/1951; 2 sons Terry L. (Vicki) West of Pleasant City, Ohio & Micheal K. (Joy) West of Concord, Ohio; 1 daughter Tammy L. (Dave) Dickson of Marietta, Ohio; 1 sister Mildred E. (Sally) Robinson of Caldwell, Ohio and 1 brother Melvin A. (Patricia) West of Pleasant City, Ohio; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday (9/18/2002) from 2 to 9 PM (with the family present 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM) at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, Ohio 43724. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday (9/19/2002) at 1PM at First Church of Christ, 601 North Street, Caldwell, Ohio with Pastor Jim Garrett and Fr. Dale Tornes officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery in Caldwell. The family requests that memorials be made to the Strecker Cancer Center, 400 Matthew Street, Marietta, Ohio 45750 or to the Home Nursing Service & Hospice, 210 N. 7th Street, Suite 300, Marietta, Ohio 45750.
