Obituary for Charles M. "Mike" Hupp, Sr.

Charles M. “Mike” Hupp, Sr., age 79, of Macksburg, Ohio, died Thursday, June 20, 2024, at his home. He was born March 20, 1945, in Washington County, Ohio, son of the late Harry Edward and Alberta Irene Brown Hupp. Mike retired as a truck driver for Larson Materials in Cambridge. He was a member of the Shepherd’s Chapel Church in Gravette, Arkansas, and a former member of the Caldwell Moose Lodge, #221. Mike was a musician who could play any instrument, but especially loved guitars. He also enjoyed going camping.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Charles Michael “Mikey” Hupp, Jr.; two sisters, Joann Miller and Carol Hupp; and three brothers, James, Paul, and David Hupp.

Surviving are his wife, Donna Lee Britton Hupp, whom he married June 25, 1963, in Lowell; his children, Angela D. (Elmer “Dee”) Dingess of Jerusalem and Maya L. (James) Kirkbride of Macksburg; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Norman D. Hupp of Wheeling Island, West Virginia, Gary G. Hupp and George F. “Fred” (Debbie) Hupp, all of Marietta, and Terry L. Hupp of Macksburg; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A private service will be observed by the family. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, is caring for the family.
