Obituary for Charles E. Yoho
Charles E. Yoho, age 66, of Sarahsville, Ohio, died Sunday, January 6, 2013, at his home. He was born November 10, 1946, in Cambridge, son of the late Charles and Chloe Boswell Yoho. He was a graduate of Shenandoah High School, and he mowed and worked odd jobs in the area. Mr. Yoho maintained the Little League baseball fields at Shenandoah for many years, and for seven years, he maintained the Shenandoah High School softball fields. He was a member of the Boy Scouts for over 25 years, currently serving as a den leader for Cub Scout Pack #514 of Sarahsville, having started in 2009. He was also currently a committee member. He was formerly an assistant scout master for Boy Scout Troup #508 of Mt Ephraim. He was a member of the Brotherhood of the Order of the Arrow, and a recipient of Forest Trails District Scouter of the Year Award. He also served as a camp leader at summer camp. Mr. Yoho enjoyed hunting with mountain cur and squirrel dogs with his friend, Allen Franklin, and he also enjoyed fishing and helping his neighbors. He was a member of the Bates Hill Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Violet May Depew. Surviving are his special friends, Allen and Julie Franklin and family of Sarahsville; and his many friends and neighbors. Friends may call Tuesday, January 8, 2013, from 4-7PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow at 7PM with Evangelist Harry Summers officiating. A graveside service will be observed Wednesday, January 9th at 11AM at Fredricksdale Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made for Mr. Yoho to McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, P.O. Box 263, Caldwell, Ohio, 43724, to assist with expenses.
