Obituary for Charles J. "Junior" Braden
Mr. Charles J. “Junior” Braden, age 90, of Caldwell, Ohio, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. A native of Noble County, he was born April 25, 1929, to the late Charley and Gertrude Wentworth Braden. He worked 13 years for Caldwell Produce and he retired from Permian Oil and Gas Company following 33 years of service. He served 10 years with Caldwell Volunteer Fire Department, and he was a longtime member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Caldwell.

In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his second wife, Lucille Dennis Braden; his third wife, Wanda Harding Braden; one daughter, Diana Denise Wilson; one grandson, Benjamin “B.J." Braden; a step-daughter, Marjorie Ruppel; and a brother-in-law, Richard Haga.

Surviving are three sons, Jimmie (Carolyn) Braden of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Joseph (Beth) Braden of Pickerington, and Jeff Braden (Norma Little) of New Philadelphia; two step-daughters, Jeanne (William) Hupp and Carol (Fred) Schell, all of Caldwell; step-son-in-law, Marvin Ruppel of Caldwell; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Wilson, Gregory Braden, Justin Braden, Christopher Braden, and Carrie Braden; one brother, George (Ethel) Braden of Buckeye Lake; one sister, Lucille Haga of Heath; his first wife, Mary Morris Hackley of Cambridge; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Friends may call Saturday, May 25, 2019, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Sunday, May 26th at 2PM with Evangelist Richard Perrault officiating. Burial will follow at Dudley Cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to TLC Complete Home Care and Summit Acres Nursing Home for their loving care over the years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Main Street Church of Christ, 631 Main Street, Caldwell, Ohio, 43724, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
