Obituary for Charles F. Walters
Charles F. Walters, age 76, of Salesville, Ohio, died Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at his home. He was born July 31, 1945, in Cambridge, son of the late George Frederick Walters and Pearl Eileen Lauer Walters Ringer. Charles was a graduate of Muskingum-Perry Truck Driving School and Galion Welding School. He owned and operated a family farm, raising dairy cattle, turkeys, and chickens. He retired as an over-the-road truck driver, having been employed by Concept Freight in Akron and Truck One in Newark. He loved trucks, tractors, and farming.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-father, Earl Ringer; and one son, Ed Walters.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Sue Wheeler Walters, whom he married April 15, 1967; two sons, David A. Walters of Salesville and Scott Frederick Walters (fiancé, Joy Huntsman) of Caldwell; four grandchildren, Robert Walters, Devon Walters, Renee Walters, and Logan Walters; and three great-grandchildren, Jasper Walters, Amara Walters, and Alice Walters; and several cousins and friends.
Friends may call Monday, June 6, 2022, from 11AM-1PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 1PM with Pastor Kevin White officiating.
