Carol J. Snode Lovett, age 75, of Palm Bay, Florida, formerly of Noble County, Ohio, died Sunday, July 16, 2023, in Florida. She was born December 31, 1947, in Zanesville, daughter of the late Charles H. and Martha J. Smalley Snode. Carol was a 1965 graduate of Shenandoah High School, where she was crowned the first homecoming queen in the school’s history in 1964. She was the 1964 Ohio Hills Folk Festival queen, the 1964 Noble County Junior Fair queen, and she was named Miss Zeplinian in 1965. Carol was Methodist by faith. She was a very open-minded person who will be remembered by family and friends as beautiful inside and out. She was devoted to her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Dee Lovett; and a daughter, Chanda.
Surviving are her son, Brent (Zee) Lovett of Jacksonville, Florida; her siblings, Rebecca (David) Crum of Barnesville and Chuck (Sue) Snode of Sarahsville; five grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life service will take place at a later time. McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, is caring for local family.
