Obituary for Carol Ann Perkins
Carol Ann Perkins, age 81, of McConnelsville, Ohio, died Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at the Genesis Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville. She was born November 7, 1938, in Salesville, daughter of the late James Britton and Anna Blanche Holmes Secrest. Carol was a 1956 graduate of Buffalo High School. She was a homemaker, and she was employed as a unit secretary for Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge. Carol was a member of Harmony Lutheran Church in Buffalo. She enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, and crocheting, and she was devoted to her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Buddy” Perkins, Jr., who died October 25, 1987;one brother, one sister, and a step-brother.
Surviving are three daughters, Kimberly Ann (Davd) Logan and Valerie Kay Perkins (Anne Ralston), all of Pleasant City, and Veronica Jill (James “Jr.”) Parks of Summerfield; three sons, Charles B. “Chuck” Perkins, III, of Cumberland, and Edward M. (Laura) Perkins of Pleasant City and Thomas Pierce (Rachel) Perkins of Somerset; 15 grandchilden, Morgan (Justin) Denius, Tara (Paul) Gabel, Zachary and Xavier Gress, Charlee, Dakota (Shelby), Miranda, Austin, Cierra, Ally, Kenzi, and Pierce Perkins, and Jacob, Jaymie, and Jaira Parks; 8 great-grandchildren, Cade and Tate Denius, Logan, Chase, and Brendan Gabel, Luke Perkins, and Knox and Kora Parks; and one sister and two half-sisters.
A private service will be observed by the family and burial will follow at Buffalo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Carol requested that memorial contributions made to the Guernsey County Cancer Society, 927 Wheeling Ave., Suite 205, Cambridge, Ohio, 43725, or to Mt.
