Obituary for Carl B. McKee
Carl B. McKee, age 84, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. He was born June 19, 1933, in Brookfield Twp., Noble County, son of the late Bryan and Jane Milligan McKee. He was a 1951 graduate of Belle Valley High School, and he was a United States Army veteran, having served during the Korean War. Carl was a retired tool maker. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Pleasant City, and Sharon Lodge #136, Free and Accepted Masons. Carl served as a school board member for Noble Local Schools for many years, and was instrumental in the planning and building of Shenandoah High School. Along with his wife, he enjoyed square dancing with the Curly Q’s.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Buckey McKee, whom he married March 8, 1953, and who died May 25, 2006; and three brothers, Charles McKee, and two infant brothers.
Surviving are his children, Carla (Jim) Jenkins of Maryland, Robert (Janie) McKee of Caldwell, and Elizabeth “Liz” Clark of Wyoming; one sister, Twila Alexander of McConnelsville; 8 grandchildren, including Abby, Ben, and Ian Jenkins, and Logan, Morgan, and Tanner Clark; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 step-granddaughters; 5 step-great-grandchildren; a special sister-in-law, Doris McKee of Caldwell; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A private graveside service will be observed by the family at Olive Cemetery in Caldwell with Pastor Dale Hunt officiating. A veteran’s service will be conducted by the Noble County Veteran Service Organizations. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Office, 1218 Market Street, Parkersburg, West Virginia, 26101.
