Obituary for C. Ralph Johnson
C. Ralph Johnson, age 68, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Monday, December 8, 2008, at his residence. He was born May 9, 1940, in Watertown, Ohio, son of the late Herbert and Ethel Harra Johnson. He was employed for 25 years by Nicholazakes Trucking in Cambridge as a truck driver, mechanic, and heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Local 18 Operating Engineers in Cleveland and a member of Main Street Church of Christ, Caldwell. He enjoyed attending auctions, tinkering on his tractors, and he loved working in his garage. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Johnson, and an infant brother. Surviving are his wife, Ruby Jean Parks Johnson, whom he married June 2, 1962; his children, Pam S. Bee (David W. Reed) of Williamstown, West Virginia, Brenda L. (Lonzo) Mills of Caldwell, and Kevin R. (April) Johnson of Byesville; two sisters, Inez Skinner of Beverly and Janice Dilley of Caldwell; one brother, Charles Jacob 'Jake' (Lois) Johnson of New Hampshire; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday, December 10, 2008, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be held Thursday, December 11th at 1PM with Evangelist Craig Matheney officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery, Caldwell. Memorial contributions may be made to the Main Street Church of Christ, 631 Main Street, Caldwell, Ohio, 43724.
