Obituary for C. David Riddle
C. David Riddle, age 66, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Friday, January 27, 2017, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. He was born October 20, 1950, in Cambridge, son of the late Dean Delbert and Vivian L. Hammond Riddle. He was a 1968 graduate of Caldwell High School, where he was a drummer in the band and played football his senior year. He was also a 1972 graduate of The Ohio State University, having earned a degree in business and accounting. David was employed by the former Gould Company plant in Bridgeport, and he formerly owned Reed's Flower Shop in McConnelsville. He retired as a company comptroller for Bry-Air, Inc. in Sunbury. He enjoyed playing golf and working cryptogram puzzles, and he was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, James Douglas Riddle and D. Brad Riddle.
Surviving are one brother, Dennis (Sandy) Riddle of Caldwell; his step-mother, Joy Riddle of Zanesville; two aunts, Judy (Bob) Oakley of Lore City and Dorothy Riddle of Cambridge; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Friends may call Saturday, February 18, 2017, from 11AM-1PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a memorial service will follow visitation at 1PM.
