Brett L. Weaver, age 50, of Macksburg, Ohio, died Monday, October 22, 2018, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born September 1, 1968, in Marietta, son of Carolyn Starr Rice of Macksburg and the late James C. Rice. He was employed as a fabricator for Thermo-Fisher Scientific in Marietta and he was formerly employed by Ames True Temper in Dexter City. Brett was an excellent musician who loved to sing and play rhythm guitar. He enjoyed riding four wheelers, fishing and camping, and watching TV. He and his wife Tina were affectionately known as the “TV Cats.” He brought laughter and smiles to his family and friends, and kids loved being around him. He was one of the best.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a brother and sister, Brent Starr and Georgetta Starr.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Tina F. Pack Weaver, whom he married November 21, 1987; his siblings, James C. (Kristy) Rice, III, of Pleasant City, Curtis Rice of Byesville, Loretta Peyton of Georgia, Lorena Rice of New Concord, and Jeff (Trenda) Rice of Belle Valley; one niece, Candace Rice; two nephews, Corey Rice and D.J. Starr; his mother and father-in-law, Tom and Dottie Pack of Macksburg; his sisters-in-law, Barbara Martin of Carlisle and Crystal Pack of Dexter City; several aunts, uncles, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews; and his beloved miniature schnauzer, Nova.
Friends may call Thursday, October 25, 2018, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Friday, October 26th at 11AM. Burial will follow at Lund Cemetery in Macksburg.
