Obituary for Brad D. Marquis
Brad D. Marquis, age 55, of Pickerington, Ohio, died unexpectedly Sunday, May 9, 2021, from heart and surgery complications at his home. He was born April 29, 1966, in Columbus, son of Virginia L. Marquis of Pickerington and the late David Marquis, who died August 22, 2011. He was a 1984 graduate of Pickerington High School and a 1988 graduate of Ohio University in Athens where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Brad worked in newspaper advertising sales. He was a member of the Amazing Grace Christian Church in Grove City, and he was a former member of Eastland Christian Church, where he had been a member of the church board. Brad was an Eagle Scout. He loved going to concerts and sporting events, and he was a member of the Good Guys Car Club.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his grandparents, Wiley and Roberta Bigley and James Reed and Lucille Marquis; one aunt, Barbara Hannahs; and one uncle, Robert Bigley.
In addition to his mother, surviving are a sister, Stacia L. Howard of Pickerington; one nephew, Tyler Howard of Pickerington; one aunt, Bettie Wilson of Caldwell; one cousin, Dannie Wilson of Caldwell; and many other cousins.
Friends may call Thursday, May 13, 2021, from 1-3PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will follow visitation at 3PM. Burial will follow at Sharon Cemetery. The service will also be livestreamed on the McVay-Perkins Funeral Home Facebook page.
