Betty J. Hickman, age 80, of Caldwell, died Wednesday, December 22, 2004, in Caldwell following a brief illness. She was born September 6, 1924, in Middleburg, Ohio, daughter of the late Clarence and Francis Vaughn Hupp. She was a homemaker, owned and operated Hickman TV and Appliance, and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Cambridge since 1952. She was preceded in death by one son, Kelvin K. Hickman, on December 26, 1992; five sisters, Nora Clark, Murl, Pearl, and Juanita Hickman, and Lula Roberts; and two brothers, Frank and Don Hupp. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Hickman, whom she married on September 8, 1942; one son, Kenneth R. (Linda) Hickman of Caldwell; three daughters, Mrs. Leo (Janice) Gibson and Joyce J. Young, both of Caldwell, and Mrs. Jack (Debra L.) Hansis of Marietta; one sister, Mrs. Howard (Garnet Eileen) Hickman of Lisbon; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday, December 26, 2004, from 2-4 and 7-9PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where the service will be Monday, December 27, at 1PM with Rev. Theodore Shannon and Rev. David Kissinger officiating. Burial will be at Village View Cemetery, Sarahsville.
