Obituary for Bertha M. King
Bertha M. King, age 81, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at Summit Acres Nursing Home in Caldwell. She was born June 10, 1936, in Harriettsville, daughter of the late Clarence and Mattie Gilreath Bonar. She was a 1955 graduate of Elk Rural High School, and she was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Junior King, who died in 2005; one sister; and two brothers.
Surviving are her children, Shirley Gandee of McConnelsville, Edward Harper of Cambridge, Gary Harper and Kaye Harper, both of Dexter City, Glen (Dorothy) Harper of Hoskinsville, and Larry (Debbie) Harper of Caldwell; one granddaughter, Melissa Harper of Caldwell; one sister, Eleanor Pangle of Byesville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call Friday, April 6, 2018, from 5-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Saturday, April 7th at 10:30AM with Pastor Jay Workman officiating. Burial will follow at Eastern Cemetery in Summerfield.
