Obituary for Beatrice Agnes Cain
Beatrice Agnes Norman Cain,89,of Sharon, Ohio went home to be with family and friends on Tuesday evening June 29, 2004. She was born on November 6, 1914 at Orton, Gilmer County, WV to Claude Deane and Jennie Rennie Norman. She married Paul Donald Cain on August 3, 1940 and moved to Sharon, Ohio. Mr. Cain preceded her in death in 1992. She graduated from Gassaway High School in Gassaway, WV in 1937 and received an Associate of Science Degree from Glenville State College. She worked for Hazel-Atlas Glass Factory in Zanesville, Ohio and was a substitute teacher for Caldwell Exempted Village Schools. She was a member of the Rommetsch Chapel United Brethren Church and the Sharon Presbyterian Church where she was an Elder. She was active with the Sharon Grange, Sharon Presbyterian Ladies Aide, the Sharon Shamrocks 4-H Club and taught Sunday and Bible School. She is survived by a son, Donald (Erma) of Sharon, two daughters, Carol Joyce (Jim) Costello of Byesville, Ohio and Ann Dobbins of Vienna, WV. Six Grandchildren, Dean (Patti)Cain of Clarksville, Tenn., Patrick (Beth)and Jonathan (Angel)Cain of Sharon, Tracy (Ron) Costello-Largent and Matthew (Kelly) Costello of Byesville, and Robert (BJ)Cain of Yuma, Arizona. Nine great-grandchildren, Maranda, Ian, Morgan, Austin, Karina, and Thomas Cain, Justin and Hayden Largent, and Shylin Costello. 4 Step-Great-Grandchildren; Shannon, Amber, Josh and Kristi. One sister, Colleen Bagnell of Glenville, WV. In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by three brothers, Jack, Linn and Deane, and her sister Elaine Sponaugle. Friends may call at the McVay-Perkins Funeral Home on Friday (7/2/2004) from 2-4 & 7-9 pm where services will be held on Saturday (7/3/2004) at 1 pm with Rev. Bill Pickenpaugh officiating assisted by Rev. Bob Mathews. Graveside services will be at the Hoskinsville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Donations may be made to the 'Make-A-Wish' Foundation or the St. Judes Hospital.
