Asbury Lee Evans, age 79, of Beverly, Ohio, died Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at The Arbors at Marietta, in Marietta, Ohio. He was born October 29, 1927, in Oppy, Kentucky, son of the late Asbury L. and Alice Mae Frantz Evans, Sr. He was employed as material handler for Department 40 for the Ford Motor Company, Walton Hills Stamping Plant in Northfield, Ohio, from which he retired in 1989. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Edith Lovejoy Evans, who died October 24, 1979; two sisters, Viola Mae Carrey and Wilda Johnson; and four brothers, Alfred, Ben, Paul, and Carl Evans. Surviving are a daughter, Bobbie Pridemore of Beverly; two sons, Jesse Lee Evans and Arrie (Jane) Pritchard, both of Cleveland;one step-daughter; Mary Louise White of Virginia, two grandchildren, Michelle Pridemore and Leo Montgomery, both of Beverly; and two great-grandchildren, Summer Lucille and Autumn Leigh Pridemore; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Friends may call Sunday, May 13, 2007, from 2-6PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be Monday, May 14 at 11AM with Pastor David Denny officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery, Caldwell.
