Obituary for Anna Mae Cantwell Haga
Anna Mae Cantwell Haga, age 65, of Dexter City, Ohio, passed peacefully to her eternal home to live with her Lord and Savior Thursday, July 17, 2008. She died at home surrounded by her loving family following a short illness. She was born April 16, 1943, in Petroleum, West Virginia, daughter of the late Joe and Bessie Cantwell. She was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family, especially taking vacations with them to the beach. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds and playing bingo. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Russel Haga; one step-son, Randy Haga; one granddaughter; two brothers, Cliff and Donald Cantwell; two nephews, Johnny Williams and Michael Joe Clark; her mother and father-in-law, Ethel and Orville Haga; and a sister-in-law, Eileen Gee. Surviving are her husband, Howard 'Howdy' Haga, whom she married November 28, 1966; one son, Roger (Rose) Haga of Caldwell; two step-sons, Gene (Lela) Haga and Jeff (Bonnie) Haga, both of Caldwell; three step-daughters, Cheryl (Danny) Swain of Caldwell, Brenda (Arron) Harris of Beaver, and Kathy Haga of Zanesville; two grandsons, Dale and Ryan Haga, both of Caldwell; one great-grandson, Blaise Haga of Caldwell; 14 step-grandchildren, Jean Ann, April, Christina, Jason, Chad, Becky, Ashley, Mike, David, J.D., Shelly, Rachel, Corey, and Brandi; 15 step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Toni (Ray) Smith of Sarahsville and Donna (Ernie) Griffin of Macksburg; three brothers, Butch (Mickey) Cantwell and Kester Cantwell, both of Macksburg and Rick (Linda) Cantwell of Buffalo; one brother-in-law, Harold (Carol) Haga of Caldwell; many nieces, including Buffy, Jessica, and Lynetta Sue; nephews, and cousins; and special friends and neighbors, Jay and Mary. Friends may call Sunday, July 20, 2008, from 2-4 and 6-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be held Monday, July 21st at 1PM with Pastor Bill Pickenpaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Lund Cemetery, Macksburg.
