Obituary for Andrew J. Mika
Andrew J. Mika, age 62, of Coal Ridge, Ohio, died Monday, December 16, 2013, at his home. He was born January 27, 1951, in Cambridge, son of the late Milan and Margaret Macenko Mika. He was a 1968 graduate of Shenandoah High School and a graduate of the Lincoln Electric Welding School in Cleveland. He retired as a loader operator from the Noble County Highway Department after 30 years of service. He was Catholic by faith. Mr. Mika loved his farm and draft horses, and he enjoyed trapping and coon hunting with his dogs. He is survived by one daughter, Rachel Mika of Caldwell; two sisters, Mary A. Mika of Columbus and Monica (Jeff) Saylor of Newcomerstown; one brother, Anthony (Mary Kay) Mika of Caldwell; two aunts, Mildred “Millie” Mika of Coal Ridge and Julia Mika of Cumberland; and three nieces and one nephew. Friends may call Thursday, December 19, 2013, from 4-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where the funeral service will be observed Friday, December 20th at 11AM with Rev. Fr. Wayne Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Hiramsburg Cemetery.
